How to make Fresh Mango Salsa
We started making mango salsa out of necessity. We weren’t able to find it in our local grocery store. As it turns out, it’s super easy to make. We typically top shrimp tacos off with this vibrant mix of fruits and vegetables. The refreshing sweetness of the mango pairs perfectly with savory grilled shrimp. Packed with vitamins A, C, and K, this salsa also offers a good source of fiber. Keep it simple and enjoy our fresh mango salsa as a satisfying snack on top of toast or with your favorite tortilla chips.
Ingredients
4-6 servings
- 1 mango, chopped
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 red onion, diced
- 1/2 avocado, diced
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 c cilantro leaves, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Serve alone with a side of whole grain tortilla chips or on top of your favorite protein (fish, pork, or steak).
